Blizzard are the marketing masters of the week with their announcement of a World of Warcraft annual pass. One which grants its subscribers free access to Diablo III, once that game officially launches. The company’s President and CEO, Mike Morhaime, made the official announcement during his keynote speech at BlizzCon 2011.

In addition to a year of World of Warcraft raiding, the annual pass (which can be billed monthly,) will also contain access to the Mists of Pandaria expansion’s beta and a new mount: Tyrael’s Charger. This is on top of the ability to download and play Diablo III for free.
