As a small Christmas present to gamers around the world, Spiders Studios has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming upcoming title, Bound By Flame. The medieval set RPG is currently set to be released in Spring 2014 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

Showcased here are the various enemies that players will come across in their quest to assemble a group of warriors capable of stopping the Deadarmy of Shadowcold. While these creatures have the power of ice on their side, a mysterious demon of flame has decided to choose you as its new host. Will you embrace the power he provides you, or will you hope to conquer the invading forces with just your own human will?

Spiders Studios has previously developed titles such as Mars: War Logs, Of Orcs and Men and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, but I think that Bound By Flame may just be their most ambitious project yet. While I had previously not heard of the intriguing new RPG, this trailer immediately shot the title onto my most anticipated list of 2014.

I’m a huge fan of fantasy themed games and it seems like Bound By Flame will be able to scratch that itch. It looks gorgeous, has a heavy emphasis on choice, and will also feature a “rich combat system,” according to Spiders. I’m getting a strong Dragon Age: Origins vibe here, which to me, is nothing to sneer at.

We will continue to bring you the latest news on Bound By Flame in the lead-up to its 2014 release date. For now though, why not watch the trailer posted below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
