Watch the original cast of Alien discuss "Alien: Isolation" and record a few of their lines while describing their excitement for the upcoming title.

While it’s questionable whether the extra content being developed for Alien: Isolation should be excluded from the disc itself, it’s still exciting to see more and more information crop up about the two packs that feature the original crew of the Nostromo. As a fan, I was psyched to hear that the original cast would return to reprise their roles from the sci-fi masterpiece, but a video released yesterday showing them all discuss the game and its source material with more than a little enthusiasm made me want to ball up my fists and shake them while squealing like a tween.

Although the video focuses mostly on the Crew Expendable expansion of Alien: Isolation, much of what the cast describes about what makes the upcoming title work encompasses the entire experience. There’s definitely a ton of charm to be found in watching elderly versions of the Nostromo crew discuss what makes an Alien video game tick, especially when you can tell that they don’t have much experience with the medium. But hey, at least they didn’t have to bear the cruelty of being part of Colonial Marines, right?

If you haven’t already, check out the video below to get a sense of how the cast feels about another Alien game. If you’re a fan of behind the scenes footage, you’ll be pleased to see a number of the original cast members recording lines for the game. While it’s neat hearing them reprise their iconic roles, it’s a bit jarring seeing how much all of them have aged, and you can definitely hear it in their voices as well. Whether or not developers Creative Assembly can make it work with a little studio magic remains to be seen. I would say it’s hard to believe that it’s already been 35 years since the movie was released, but I was hardly even a twinkle in a young lad’s eye back then.

The video can be seen below, and be sure to pick up Alien: Isolation on October 7 for PlayStation 3 & 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
