If you’ve recently enjoyed adventuring in the likes of Firewatch but thought it could have used a little extra action, then you’ll want to check out The Other 99. The survival-adventure title from Burning Arrow and Deck 13 launched its first gameplay trailer today, and it’s definitely an exciting prospect.
The trailer introduces the beginning of the proceedings in The Other 99, where players find themselves on an island with nothing but a note which reads, “the only way off the island is through the other 99.” As the action unfolds in the game, you will find that each enemy is just as desperate to survive as you, and will stop at nothing to achieve their goal.
And when the developers say “nothing,” they mean it. The Other 99 features brutal visceral combat with story driven exploration and stealth elements; you’ll need to become a master of all trades here if you hope to survive what the island throws at you.
The folks at Burning Arrow are excited to debut the game, as co-owner Thomas Brown explains:
We are very excited about our debut title, The Other 99, and are thankful to Deck13 for spotting its potential. We look forward to their continued support and can’t wait to bring out more information in the coming months.
The Other 99 is set for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with the first look coming via Steam Early Access in July.
