With its release date only a couple of days away now, Crytek has unveiled the official launch trailer for Ryse: Son of Rome. Aside from perhaps Dead Rising 3 and Forza Motorsport 5, this is the most-anticipated Xbox One launch title and judging from the footage seen in the video below, it’s easy to see why.

Touching mostly on the game’s plot, the trailer gives us a great overview of what we’re in for come November 22nd. Set to deliver all the chaos and violence that the Roman empire was known for, Crytek hopes to bring to life the city of Rome with an “unprecedented cinematic realism.” So far, from what we’ve seen of the game, I think that they’ll succeed in accomplishing that.

For those who haven’t been keeping up, Ryse: Son of Rome follows Marius Titus, a soldier in the Roman army whose family is brutally murdered by an invading barbarian tribe. Determined to seek revenge, Titus must confront “not only the savage hordes, but also the corruption that has poisoned the empire he has sworn to protect.”

Ryse: Son of Rome is set to drop on November 22nd, alongside the Xbox One. Check out the launch trailer below and let us know whether or not you plan on picking it up.
