“Class3”, the open-world zombie survival game in development by Undead Labs, has been revealed as State of Decay.

The new title also comes with a new trailer, showcasing the game’s “dynamic open world,” which “develops in real-time, shaped by your actions, dynamically generating content based on your choices and the ever-increasing zombie threat.” Sounds exciting, right?

With an emphasis on teamwork, strategy, survival, and the use of CryEngine 3, Undead Labs hopes to set State of Decay apart from the pack. The game is currently in development for Xbox Live Arcade and PC, with Undead Labs hoping to follow up with their planned zombie MMO, dubbed “Class4,” shortly after.

The zombie game market is pretty crowded right now, but State of Decay‘s seemingly unique take on the genre will help it stand out from the rest of the titles out there.

We’ve seen numerous zombie games over the past few years but this one definitely has me excited. If you need more convincing, take a look at the trailer below.

Be sure to check out State of Decay‘s official website for more information.
