Praise the sun! Bandai Namco has unleashed a brand new trailer for Dark Souls III, this time teasing gameplay footage from the hotly-anticipated RPG sequel.
Entitled the True Colors of Darkness, today’s snippet showcases the nightmarish creatures and demons that lie in wait. Fresh from his work on PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, From Software Game Director Hidetaka Miyazaki has teased in the past that one of the main gameplay tweaks that fans can expect is a more agile lead character. That’s something that we see in Bandai’s latest sizzle reel, just don’t be fooled into thinking that Dark Souls III will give you the power to dance effortlessly underneath those towering bosses.
Entering its final stages of development, yesterday brought word of the pre-order bonuses for Dark Souls III, and those who reserve a copy across either PS4, PC or Xbox One can expect slightly different pre-order perks. Indeed, thanks to the latter’s backwards compatibility feature, Microsoft will bundle together a free copy of the original Dark Souls for free.
Arriving in multiple SKUs, the Deluxe Edition of Dark Souls III will set you back $84.99, but includes the game’s Season Pass. As for the standard edition, it’ll be priced at $59.99 come April.
Dark Souls III will make its bow across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 12.
