Speaking on The Inner Circle Podcast, head of Microsoft’s Xbox division, Phil Spencer, revealed that dashboard customization options will be coming to the Xbox One in the near future. While no date was given for said update, Spencer wants “people to know that they are coming.”

One of the more requested features, customizations options for the Xbox One will include themes, background images and more. Another future update for the console will also allow gamers to take in-game screenshots, which is something Spencer said “people beat us up” about. Both features will most likely be included in a future monthly update.

While I didn’t really mind the absence of these features, because I’m a plain guy apparently, I know that many others have been clamoring for them. People want to be able to change the look of their Xbox One dashboard, and if Microsoft can give them that option, then more power to them. The same goes for screenshots, but if the feature works as well as it does on the PlayStation 4, then I think people will be just fine with it being a little late.
