PS Blog revealed recently that PlayStation Plus subscribers would be given the chance to download the beta of DC Universe Online in the near future, the same blog has just announced that the beta is now available on the PlayStation Network.
“Well we have worked hard to make sure that you guys get exclusive access to the Beta of this huge MMO Action title. All Plus members will be included and the download is being added to the Plus section of PlayStation Store as we speak – yes, that’s right now.”
Those intending to get their super groove on however may need to free up a bit of space on their hard drives first as the download comes in at a rather hefty 15GB.
“Due to the scale of the game, this Beta Trial will require approximately 15GB of free Hard Disk Drive (HDD) space, and can take an average of 3-4 hours to download, or potentially longer depending on your broadband internet connection. It will definitely be worth it though!”
There were some concerns from European gamers at the time over whether the download would only be available to North American PSN users but thankfully everyone is free to take part in the beta.
