Given that next week is E3, it was only a matter of time before the leaks started rolling out. Today’s big leak—Dead Rising 4. Over the course of the last few months, rumors of a new entry in Capcom’s zombie survival game have been circulating, but the title should be officially confirmed next week. Whether or not it will be playable on the showroom floor remains to the imagination as all we have, for now, is the above promotional poster and the off-screen image below.
Despite being a mere rumor at this point, the game as reported by ThisGenGaming, is said to utilize the Unreal 4 engine and be a complete remake of the first entry in the series with four player co-op. News of the the new game engine suggests a partnership with Epic Games. Lending itself to the rumors is the return of series protagonist Frank West, who was absent in 2013’s Dead Rising 3 but is seemingly back for more zombie-slaying-picture-taking shenanigans.
E3 2016 is set to kickoff next week and will run from June 14-16, 2016. We’ll keep you updated on further Dead Rising 4 details as they’re released, so stay tuned!
As of this posting, Dead Rising 4 is set to be exclusive to the Xbox One and PC.
