Unlike Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3, though, the platform-holder didn’t disclose whether the actioner will launch as a console exclusive later this year – possibly under the all-new Xbox Play Anywhere feature. Bear in mind that early reports suggested that Dead Rising 4 wouldn’t land on PlayStation 4, though the fact that Microsoft skimmed over specific release plans leads us to believe that Capcom’s horror game will indeed be a multi-platform experience.

Outside of the gleefully violent reveal trailer, it’s understood that Dead Rising 4 will take place in Willamette, Colorado around the Christmas period – explaining the haunting spin on festive music featured in the snippet. The weather outside may be frightful, but the zombie-slaying action that Capcom is cooking up looks nothing short of delightful.

So, there you have it; Dead Rising 4 is on course for a holiday 2016 release across Xbox One, PC and, potentially PlayStation 4. We’ll update this post if and when we learn more about the sequel’s launch plans.
