With today’s Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Store updates came a demo for Spec Ops: The Line. It promises shooter fans a chance to play two of the sand-filled game’s early chapters. Their goal will be to trudge through a partially destroyed version of Dubai, while searching for a high-priority target. Of course, that will involve lots of bullets being expelled into bad guys.

Currently, the demo is only available to Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers. Free users will have to wait until May 15 for their chance to test out Spec Ops: The Line. Keep in mind that the full game won’t infiltrate retail outlets until June 26, so there’s no need to worry about having to wait a week to play the demo.
