This coming week, Destiny will be welcoming back merchant extraordinaire Tess Everis, and it’ll also be introducing her new business model: microtransactions.
As of Tuesday, October 13th, Ms. Everis will be setting up shop in The Tower once again complete with an all-new look, storefront, and eighteen new emotes via the Eververse Trading Company. This time, her wares will cost you a certain amount of “Silver,” a new in-game currency which you can purchase for some real-life money through Xbox Live or the Playstation Network.
Developer Bungie alleges that, as in the case of The Taken King, these emotes will be largely optional and players will not lose a Crucible encounter or fail a Raid. Prices will reportedly be available on the 13th alongside the launch of the in-game storefront on Bungie.net as soon as the content goes live.
