Zealots of the work of Walt Disney may want to invest in a Nintendo 3DS soon, as Disney Magical World be coming to the console on April 11. The announcement of the title was revealed in a Nintendo press release discussing the console’s performance during 2013. While scant information is available on the game as of this moment, we did get a brief description of it.
“Disney Magical World is a new game featuring dozens of Disney characters in a variety of Disney-themed worlds. Players can customize their characters with hundreds of Disney-themed outfits and accessories, all while managing a café, planting crops and collecting Disney character cards. Players help different characters solve problems or find missing items.”
That’s all we have from the big N but members of the NeoGaf message board believe that Disney Magical World is an American localization of Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life, which was released in Japan last year. Hopefully Nintendo will clarify the confusion within the next few days.
If this title is indeed a North American release of Disney Magic Castle, then I’m actually pretty excited to try it out. It combines the long storied history of Walt Disney with the addictive gameplay of Animal Crossing, which sounds dangerously hazardous to my social life. Instead of slumming it with the likes of Tom Nook and K.K. Slider, I could possibly be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Goofy Goof and Donald Duck.
We will bring you the latest information on Disney Magical World when it becomes available. For now though, tell us, is anyone excited for what may be a Disney style take on Animal Crossing? Let us know in the comments section below.
