Christmas will come early for Sunset Overdrive fans, as Microsoft and Insomniac have revealed the first batch of post-launch DLC. Entitled The Mystery of Mooil Rig, the content will launch on December 23rd.
Taking place off the coast of Sunset City, The Mystery of Mooil Rig sees your character traveling to an oil rig in order to answer a distress signal. Upon reaching the rig, however, you will be thrust into the middle of a violent conflict between armed workers and mutants.
Since you will be surrounded by water, Insomniac is also introducing a few new moves. The Water Dive will allow players to submerge underwater for a brief amount of time, while the Water Slam Bounce move can have players smash into the water, but bounce to even greater heights.
In addition to the new moves, The Mystery of Mooil Rig will also come with new Chaos Squad objectives, amps, weapons and traps. If you are so inclined, you can also vote for whether you want a new wizard hat or Egyptian hat to be included. Additional details on what’s coming with the DLC will be revealed in future episodes of Sunset TV, so stay tuned.
Sunset Overdrive owners can pick-up The Mystery of Mooil Rig for $10, or as part of the title’s Season Pass, which currently retails for $20.
