One of the many game announcements at last night’s PlayStation 4 event was Motorstorm developer Evolution Studio’s new racing title, Driveclub. The game will be the result of a staff of developers who have prior experience on numerous other hit racers, including Gran Turismo, Wipeout, and Project Gotham Racing.
While details are currently scarce, a PlayStation Blog post from game director Matt Southern offered some insight into the development process, stating that the intended goals are to deliver a super high-quality visual experience with the PS4’s improved graphical horsepower, as well as make an asynchronous game that makes use of social networking features for multiplayer.
A brief announcement trailer was also released, showcasing the visual style players can expect to see in the final product. It can be viewed below.
