Dying Light's The Following expansion has an official release date of February 9, developer Techland has announced. The DLC will be available on the same day for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will add an entirely new map, vehicles and a brand new campaign. Techland promises that the pack will provide players with an additional 10+ hours of gameplay - a bold claim - but great value for money if it holds true.

Dying Light‘s The Following expansion has an official release date of February 9, developer Techland has announced. The DLC will be available on the same day for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will add an entirely new map, vehicles and a brand new campaign. Techland promises that the pack will provide players with an additional 10+ hours of gameplay – a bold claim – but great value for money if it holds true.

Free to download for season pass holders, the option to purchase The Following separately will also be available, as well as an Enhanced Edition of the game that will contain the original game, the season pass and The Following for $59.99.

But that’s not all. A free Improvements Update will coincide with The Following‘s release, which will introduce new parkour moves, improved AI, a new difficulty setting and various new systems. Whew, that’s a lot of stuff.

Dying Light‘s lead game designer said The Following on the topic of all the new content headed our way:

We didn’t want to follow a beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on,” s “That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release,Dying Light will be even bigger.
