Curious as to when EA and Respawn Entertainment plan to unveil the first gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? Wonder no more.
Over on Twitter (h/t ComicBook.com), EA community manager Jay Ingram confirmed that E3 2019 will host the first public showcase of Jedi: Fallen Order, a single-player adventure free from loot boxes, microtransactions, and Battlefront-esque multiplayer.
The result? A lavish Star Wars experience that doubles down on story – specifically, that involving a lone Jedi struggling to survive in a galaxy overrun by Imperial forces – and while Respawn already dropped a scintillating trailer for Jedi Fallen Order during Star Wars Celebration earlier this month, it seems E3 2019 will herald the first deep dive into 2019’s most-anticipated licensed title.

Now that #StarWarsJediFallenOrder has been revealed, we’ll start answering some more questions on it. However, please know that we’re not sharing core story or gameplay details right now. We’ll be talking more about gameplay in June. pic.twitter.com/yG7v7rzgci

Angled as a third-person adventure set within the Star Wars universe, Jedi: Fallen Order finds itself wedged between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope on the series timeline. Forget the tired games-as-service model, Respawn aim to deliver a true single-player experience in the vein of God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man, undoubtedly two of 2018’s best-selling titles.
Can Jedi: Fallen Order follow suit? We’ll be able to get a better read on Respawn’s single-player title come June, but story-wise, we know it’ll follow “one of the last Jedi, [and you] must do whatever it takes to survive. Complete your training before the Inquisitors discover your plan to rebuild the Jedi Order.”
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is due to arrive on November 15th – just in time for the theatrical rollout of Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker in December. E3, on the other hand, returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center on Tuesday, June 11th, with EA’s annual Play event expected to begin June 7th. Save the date.
