EA Maxis has been hard at work developing the 2013 reboot of SimCity, and I have to admit that their new engine is very impressive. SimCity was a big part of my childhood development, and was instrumental towards me learning a lot about myself. Unfortunately, most of what I learned is that, at the drop of a hat, I will do everything in my power to absolutely decimate a city with as many disasters as humanly possible.
Luckily, the team at EA Maxis seems willing to cater to my more sociopathic tendencies, as they’ve gone to great lengths to have a sense of realism in the way cities react to emergencies.
