During Electronic Arts’ E3 2013 press conference this afternoon a PopCap spokesperson kicked off the event by first announcing that EA has converted a version of Plants vs. Zombies into a shooter, and then revealing that Peggle 2 will be released later this year.

The entire Peggle 2 announcement consisted of the spokesman yelling out “Peggle 2,” jumping in the air, and the “Ode to Joy” music playing while the lights went dark. He then ran off the E3 stage without another word.

That is literally all we know at this point, as nothing else was said during EA’s E3 2013 press conference. Once more details are announced, including what platforms Peggle 2 is coming to, we will update this post.
