Confirming a recent Australian Classification Board listing, Namco Bandai has revealed that Ninja Theory’s 2010 action adventure cult-classic, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, will be released in a “Premium Edition” on the PC for the first time “later this month.” A rep for the publisher also confirmed to Polygon that this new edition of the game will be re-released on the PlayStation 3 during the same time frame.
Despite the confirmation, we still do not have any details about the upcoming release. Namco Bandai’s representative did not provide any information on what will be included in the Enslaved: Odyssey to the West – Premium Edition, or specify how the title will be distributed — although a two-month-old Steam database entry indicates the possibility of a digital only launch on the PC.
As for what will be included, we are sticking with our original prediction that at the very least the Premium Edition will contain Enslaved: Odyssey to the West‘s only DLC add-on, Pigsy’s Perfect 10.
We will keep an eye out for additional details about the launch of the Premium Edition of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and let you know as soon as the re-release gets a proper announcement.
