Do you find yourself interested in the aesthetically gorgeous look of independent games like Entwined, but without a pricey PlayStation 4? Well, luckily for you, Pixelopus has announced that the game will be released onto both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita.

Details on the ports are scarce at the moment, but it’s unlikely that much will be changed or upgraded. If anything, the only difference will be that it won’t look as pretty as it does on the PlayStation 4. That’s kind of obvious, and to be expected, though.

Entwined is a twin-stick, on-rails experience starring artistic and abstract renditions of the souls of a bird and a fish, whom want nothing more than to be together. It is up to the player to control both characters concurrently, in order to guide them through various color-coded panels. As you successfully and continuously makes contact with the panels, a gauge then fills, and, when maxed out, causes Bird and Fish to merge into a dragonfly.

It sounds pretty ridiculous when pitched in written form, but the game is truly beautiful and manages to elicit an emotional response thanks to an engaging yet minimalistic story. You can read more about it here, in my review.

Expect Entwined on related PlayStation platforms in the “very near future,” according to Sony.
