Well, you’re in luck, as PlayStation has recently released a list of over 30 games that will be available in the launch window for the PlayStation VR2. Let’s not keep you in suspense and take a look at the games coming in February and March 2023.

How many games are coming to the PlayStation VR2 during its launch window?

Nearly 40 games have been announced that will have compatibility with the upcoming VR unit. But, you need to keep in mind that not all of them are new games. Some of them are games that were included in the roster of games for the original PlayStation VR, while some of them are PlayStation 5 games that are getting free compatibility upgrades. Even some of the games that saw a release on PlayStation VR won’t be getting a free upgrade and you’ll have to purchase them again.

It will be much easier to see which games will have free upgrade paths between unit versions when the console is launched and the PlayStation VR2 titles are available to buy on the PlayStation Store. However, we can tell you that the following games have been announced for the launch lineup of the upcoming VR unit.

  • After the Fall, developed by Vertigo Games.
  • Altair Breaker, developed by Thirdverse.
  • Before Your Eyes, developed by GoodbyeWorld Games.
  • Cities: VR, developed by Fast Travel Games AB.

So, there you have it, every game announced for the launch window of the PlayStation VR2. Again, some of these games were developed for the original unit and are getting upgrades free or otherwise. There are also games that have been announced for the virtual reality console that will be released outside of the launch window, like Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord. But as you can see from the launch lineup, there are some games that might be from franchises you know, like Horizon, The Walking Dead, Star Wars, Creed, Gran Turismo, and The Dark Pictures. Plenty for gamers to seek their teeth into.

As for which games will be the standouts for the unit, nobody will be able to tell you that until PlayStation VR2 releases on Feb. 22, 2023.
