In accordance with previous reports, Evolution Studios has confirmed plans to compensate DriveClub players with a pair of free premium DLC following the game’s turbulent launch.

Pegged for release in late November, the two content packs — namely the Ignition Expansion Pack and Photo-Finish Tour Pack — will be gifted to all players who have purchased the full copy of the game.

Taking to the game’s dedicated Facebook page, here’s what Evolution had to say on the matter:

“The team at Evolution continues to work diligently to resolve all of the server issues,” said the developer.

“We know you have all been extremely patient and understandably frustrated during DriveClub’s launch, and to show our appreciation for the support during this challenging time, we will be offering the premium DLC packs for November (25th November-SCEA/26th November-SCEE/27th November-SCEJ) free to those who purchased the full game.”

Those two aforementioned content packs will be released alongside a pair of livery packs, meaning that, come November 25th in North America, budding racers will gain access to five new cars, 22 new tour events and 10 new trophies.

Now almost six weeks since launch, DriveClub has been riddled with server issues from the get-go, with players experiencing difficulties when trying to put the game’s social features to the test. These issues resulted in a delay for the free PlayStation Plus edition of the PS4 exclusive, which won’t be released until Evolution has fixed the issue in earnest.

“Although currently we do not have an update regarding the timing for the launch of the PS Plus Edition, we are continually working on improving the server capacity to enable us to launch the PS Plus Edition as quickly as possible.”

On a related note, DriveClub is set to receive an update today that will introduce a Photo Mode into the racing simulator, all the while improving the collision detection system and balance changes.
