After four major expansions and two additional characters, Gearbox Software and 2K Games are getting ready to release the final downloadable content packs for Borderlands 2.

The first of the final Headhunter DLC packs will be Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre. Dropping on on February 14th, the Wedding Day Massacre returns to the feud between the Hodunk and Zaford families that was memorably seen in Borderlands 2’s main campaign. In order to make sure that a wedding between the two families goes off without a hitch, Moxxi enlists the Vault Hunters to help gather ingredients for a love potion. The Valentine’s Day-themed pack will carry a cost of $2.99.

Gearbox also announced today that the fifth and final Headhunter content pack will be coming in April. Entitled Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax, this DLC will culminate 18 months of content provided by Gearbox and 2K Games.

Although the whole kerfuffle regarding Aliens: Colonial Marines may have soured Gearbox’s reputation just a little bit, praise should still be given to the company for their continued support for Borderlands 2. As previously mentioned, the title originally came out back in September 2012 and to see a company still supporting it with the amount of content they have is pretty wonderful. Now that they’re done with the DLC, hopefully they’ll turn their attention to Borderlands 3.
