Before we’ve even had enough time to digest last week’s purported roster leak for Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, today it appears that a whole lot more information pertaining to Capcom’s beat ’em up has spilled out into the public domain. The latest round of leaks comes by way of Reddit user Rikurikumore (via ComicBook) who, along with leaking much the same roster as that posted last week by Reddit user Ryce, has provided new details in regards to Capcom’s potential DLC plans for the crossover brawler.

Along with mentions being made of Doctor Doom, Super-Skrull and Silver Surfer as potential DLC characters, it appears that Capcom also has plans to adopt a seasonal content model similar to that of Street Fighter V, which will see a handful of new fighters from both sides introduced over time. Some of these seasons will reportedly be themed around special battles, i.e. Fantastic Four vs. Darkstalkers. Included in this pack would be new combatants from the latter, including Talbain, Felicia and potentially Hsien-Ko, who last appeared in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.

Adding to that, a third season could mark the triumphant return of Marvel’s X-Men to the series, which, if the previous leaks are true, will be absent entirely from the base game. This particular pack would pit the Mutants against Capcom’s own Street Fighter icons as a form of fan service for those familiar with 1996’s X-Men Vs. Street Fighter.

As is always the case with unconfirmed reports, all of the above should be taken with a healthy pinch of salt until Capcom says otherwise, but it all certainly sounds rather convincing, doesn’t it?

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite is out September 19 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and with any luck, we might see the above rumors become reality at this year’s E3. Stay tuned for more.
