Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer will lend her voice to one of Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s characters, BioWare has announced via a new video. Set to play the role of Dr. Lexi T’Perro, the Asari will be a crew member of The Tempest and provide medical aid to the player’s Ryder character and their companions as they travel across the galaxy. For Game of Thrones fans, Dormer’s voice won’t be the only familiar one they’ll be hearing either, as Gethin Anthony, the actor who played Renly Baratheon in the star-studded show, also has a role in the sci-fi RPG.
But that’s not all. BioWare also released the second part of its ongoing gameplay series today, which shines the spotlight on Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s customization options. Much of the combat on display retreads similar ground shown during last week’s video, but the focus here is on the freedom afforded to the player in coming up with their own strategies and methods of approaching any given skirmish.
Unlike previous entries in the series, players will have the option of putting together a varying number of loadout presets before entering battle, all of which can be switched between on-the-fly for a greater degree of freedom in any given scenario. Equally important are your squadmates, who can be pivotal in ensuring Ryder’s next battle isn’t his last. Each companion can deploy with three active and two passive skills and be ordered to perform certain actions such as attacking or defending an objective of importance. Check out the video above for a full rundown of how best to equip your Ryder come launch day.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 21. If you can’t wait until then, see here for how you can access the RPG a few days early.
