Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced via press release that they will be delaying the release of their Gauntlet reboot. Originally, the game was scheduled for release on September 3rd, but has been pushed back a few more weeks and will be launching on September 23rd instead.
According to WBIE, the reason behind the delay is to allow additional time to fine tune a few elements of the game, “in order to bring gamers an even more robust multiplayer experience.”

Guantlet is a loving reboot of the original 1980s dungeon-crawler, and will feature many of the aspects that made the classic so popular. Developer Arrowhead Studios is excited about its opportunity to bring the popular series back to the masses, saying:
“Gauntlet [was] one of the most defining games from our childhoods, and it’s amazing to be able to work with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on a brand new version,” said Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt.
To whet fans’ appetites even further, PAX Prime 2014 will be giving attendees the opportunity to get an early look at the game, and will feature it on a four-day livestream event to be shown on the official PAX Prime Twitch channel.
Attendees and Twitch viewers can watch the Gauntlet tournaments on the following days and times:
