With Resident Evil 7: Biohazard only a few weeks away, PlayStation Experience 2016 gave us another glimpse into the terrifying Baker House. The highly anticipated sequel is currently slated to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on January 24, 2017.
Besides being “batshit scary” in the words of the presenter, the PSX16 trailer for Resident Evil 7 does a good job of laying out what exactly is going on. We see how protagonist Ethan Winters journeyed to the Baker House in a desperate search for his missing wife. From there we’re treated to a montage of spooky happenings, gruesome violence and general craziness. As expected, it all looks appropriately terrifying.
In addition to the brand new footage, we also learned that the previously released Resident Evil 7 demo will be getting a substantial update later today. It’ll be available on the PlayStation 4, and will be playable in VR. Finally, we learned that the Banned Footage DLC will be coming to the PS4 first, although we don’t have a release window yet for that content.
