Ghost In The Shell: First Assault Announced For PC; Releases In 2016

Publisher Nexon has announced an FPS for PC based on the popular Ghost In The Shell anime. Due to release in ‘early 2016,’ Nexon have also announced their intention to hold two beta tests for the ‘tactical, team-based shooter,’ The first test will run from October 1 to October 4 and sign-ups are already available over on the game’s official website.

You can get an idea of what to expect from the upcoming release below:

Players will carry out battle strategies and formations as they choose from among eight initial characters. Adding a unique layer to the experience, each of these can be customized with specialized body augmentations, weapon attachments and enhanced abilities. First Assault also features ‘SkillSync,’ which allows players to leverage shared cyber-abilities with nearby teammates in combat modes to augment and increase their skills.  By using SkillSync in smart and tactical ways, teammates can work together in devastating combinations in battle.

Given that Nexon self-describes themselves as the ‘Best in online free-to-play games,’ chances are that Ghost In The Shell: First Assault will probably follow the same format.

Stay tuned for more!
