2012’s Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams was a well-received revival of a long-dormant platforming franchise, and it recently got a re-release on current-gen consoles. Now, developer Black Forest Games is set to continue the series later this year, but not exactly with another traditional platformer.

Giana Sisters: Dream Runners has been announced for release in early summer across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. While the game boasts a similar look to Twisted Dreams, the focus will be on competitive running races for up to 4 players. Nine different levels and support for both local and online play will be included, along with unlockable characters and numerous power-ups that can be used while racing to give players speed boosts, air time and more.
