After receiving a great deal of interest from fans of the first game, Microsoft set to work on creating Halo Wars 2 – a sequel which was officially revealed earlier today at gamescom 2015.
In-development at Creative Assembly (Alien: Isolation and the Total War series), Halo Wars 2 is expected to release during the Fall 2016 season, exclusively for Xbox One and Windows PC. That should delight many, as folks had been pining for news of a sequel to the well-received 2009 spin-off.
“Halo Wars 2 is an exciting new strategy game packed with fast-paced action, massive battles, and an all-new Halo story,” the game’s blurb states.
There’s little to go on here, but there is a short trailer to watch. It’s fully CG, though, and certainly doesn’t scream strategy, so you can take it or leave it.
