Harry Potter for Kinect, a minigame collection with a story spanning the whole of the popular series, is currently scheduled for an October 9 release. To give players a taste of what to expect, WB Games has released a downloadable demo for the game exclusively for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

The game, an Xbox 360 exclusive which will take full advantage of the Kinect motion sensor, allows players to scan their face and put it on a Hogwarts student. From there, they can experience events like spell training at Hogwarts, flying around in a game of Quidditch, and taking place in battles against Voldemort and other villains.

We will keep you updated on future Harry Potter for Kinect news as it develops. For now though, be sure to check out the demo.
