Blizzard’s collectible card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, has surpassed 30 million registered players, only one month after the game’s long awaited release on Android and iPhone.

Last we heard, the game had tallied a solid 20 million registered players during mid September, meaning Blizzard Entertainment have racked up a whopping 10 million new users in just over seven months. It seems more than likely the final push for 30 million was heavily reliant on the game’s iPhone and Android versions, an idea that was originally scheduled for 2014, but was setback after the studio decided they needed more time. Despite the slight mishap, the digital card game was still readily available on PC, Mac and Android Tablet.

When you look closely, it is no surprise that Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft has reached such a respectable milestone. Since its humble beginnings as a beta in 2013, the game has gone from strength to strength, becoming inordinately popular amongst casual gamers and meriting a full expansion, Gnomes vs. Goblins, alongside two single player dungeon adventures. It’s also worth noting the game’s success within the eSports community, especially considering that the Hearthstone World Championship boasted an admirable $250,000 prize fund.

Reaching 30 million players in no walk in the park, even for Blizzard Entertainment, but how long will it be until Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft hits the big 40? Let us know what you think below!
