Horizon Zero Dawn PSX 16 Trailer Offers Up A Grim Message For Survival

With all of the big announcements that came out of PlayStation Experience 2016, it wouldn’t have been odd for people to forget about the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn. Sony wasn’t about to let that happen, though, as they arrived to the show with a stunning new trailer for the game.

Following hunter protagonist Aloy, the new trailer offers up some tantalizing footage from the campaign. Narrated with a grim message from her gruff mentor, we see Horizon Zero Dawn’s heroine traversing the vast open landscape of her post-apocalyptic home. While doing so, we see her taking on, and escaping from, several different Machines, including alligator and eagle looking ones.

While all of the footage shown here is stunning, what I’m really intrigued by is how the trailer ends. We’re taken into a mysterious looking structure that could hold some of the answers that Aloy is searching for. If nothing else, it’s a complete departure from the wildlands that had dominated most of the previously released footage.

Horizon Zero Dawn is scheduled to touch down on the PlayStation 4 on February 28th, 2017. Take a look at the new trailer above and let us know what you think of the latest from Guerrilla Games’ open-world epic down in the comments section.
