It’s the Director’s Cut of the game, too, meaning players can look forward to a hoard of in-game extras including the wedding-themed deathmatch mode – split-screen support included – while there’s also word of unlockable characters from the single-player campaign. Part and parcel of Jazzpunk‘s charm is its wide variety of maps and bizarre gadgets, and you can have a gander at those (and more) in action via the reveal trailer above.

First released on PC two years ago, the first-person comedy adventure title will be available for $14.99 when it makes the jump to PS4. In anticipation of that port, Necrophone Games’ Jess Brouse shed some new light on what fans can expect from the Director’s Cut – both those familiar with Jazzpunk and players yet to experience the year 1959B.

Let’s be honest, we’ve always been a bit leery about giving away too much info as to what our new content may entail. After all, jokes only work if you don’t know they’re coming. BUT! Suffice to say, our Jokes-Per-Minute meter is at an all time high! Some of the new content was resurrected from our faithful cutting-room floor, while others tidbits were decompressed fresh, straight out of our Brain.zip files! In either case, by distilling reams of precious User Data we’ve been able to strategically shoe-horn in the smattering of new content we’d always dreamed of– but didn’t know was scientifically plausible!
