Sean Murray, the head of British developer Hello Games and creator of the Joe Danger series, has stated that after the upcoming Joe Danger: The Movie, the company is aiming to move away from the series to prevent themselves from stretching it thin.

“I want people to look at the game when it comes out, people that have played it before to just think, ‘That’s how you do a sequel,'” Murray said in a recent interview. “‘Cause the fact is we’re not going to do another Joe Danger after this. I want to go out on a high, you know what I mean? I would hate to just be trying to milk something.”

Murray also made a point of saying that one of the team’s goals regarding the game was to deliver a new experience with each level. While the original title stuck solely to motorbiking, Joe Danger: The Movie will incorporate various different vehicles and gameplay mechanics as players progress.

Joe Danger: The Movie does not have a confirmed release date yet, though the developers have stated that they are aiming to get it out for Xbox Live Arcade sometime in September.
