Now that their three game deal (flOw, Flower, and the upcoming Journey) with Sony has concluded, development studio thatgamecompany has expressed a desire to widen their audience by developing titles for more than “just PlayStation” systems.

Speaking to PushSquareJourney developer Jenova Chen said, “the past three games had to be Sony exclusive. Right now we are very much exploring ways to bring our games to a bigger audience, beyond just PlayStation. We are still in the process of negotiating, but I hope that we can announce it [soon]. But right now it’s still in the process.”

While thatgamecompany has certainly already started development on a new project, it sounds like it could be awhile before we find out what it is or what platforms it will hit. For now, the release of Journey (March 13 in North America, and March 14 in Europe) should go a long ways towards keeping fans happy as they wait for official word on thatgamecompany’s next title.
