Today at Microsoft’s E3 conference, a big announcement was made that will make old-school fans of the developer Rare very happy: Killer Instinct, after a long absence, is back.
A brief video and new logo for the next game in Rare’s tournament fighting series was briefly revealed, showing redesigned versions of series favorites like Jago, Glacius, and Sabrewulf facing off, complete with the announcer calling out combo chains.
A gameplay demo was also shown, featuring Jago and Sabrewulf facing off against each other, and demonstrating the ability to upload personal gameplay clips to the system’s cloud server. The game is confirmed to support an upcoming fighting stick controller and integrate Twitch streaming support as well.
