A new Nintendo 3DS title for everyone’s favourite pink copycat (sorry, Ditto!) is coming when Kirby: Planet Robobot arrives for the device later this year. The new game was announced as a part of Nintendo Direct today, and a slew of information about Kirby’s latest adventure was revealed as well.

Taking much of the style and structure of previous Kirby titles, Kirby: Planet Robobot will add plenty of new features to the mix to make this feel fresh and exciting. For starters, when Kirby defeats one of the robotic enemies that have invaded his world, he’ll be able to make use of their remains for his very own mech armour. This can then be customized with a variety of ‘modes,’ each adding different abilities to the suit.

Kirby: Planet Robobot will also feature an additional game known as Team Kirby Clash, in which up to four players can team up to complete quests as a group. For the first time in a Kirby game, completion of these quests will give experience to allow you to enhance your abilities moving into new stages.

There will also be a lot of Amiibo compatibility within Kirby: Planet Robobot, and players will be able to make use of virtually every figure they own if they so wish. Since Kirby can copy abilities, tapping the Amiibo figures to the 3DS’ touch screen will give him new skills such as Mario’s fire ability or even Link’s sword. There will also be a range of brand new Amiibo figures released for this new game, with each giving Kirby new abilities and a new costume in-game.

Kirby: Planet Robobot looks like it will be immense fun for any and all fans of the character, and it will arrive for Nintendo 3DS devices on June 10.
