Latest Mass Effect: Andromeda Trailer Highlights Pre-Order Bonuses And Multiplayer

EA has put out a new trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda today that provides a brief overview of the various bonus items players will receive for pre-ordering the highly-anticipated sci-fi RPG. Although we've already heard plenty about the Deep Space Explorer armor set and exclusive skin for the Nomad vehicle, this is the first time EA has actually shown them in-game. Neither piece of content is exactly encouraging me to rush out and secure my pre-order, but free stuff is always appreciated, especially if it means my own personal Ryder will look cool while bounding about the galaxy.

The Nomad, too, gets a lavish bonus skin, replacing the usual colors with a blinding gold finish that, we hope, doesn’t get exposed to extreme heat, for obvious reasons. Perhaps more interesting is the brief multiplayer footage showed off in the trailer in order to promote the Booster Pack included as part of the pre-order incentives. Various biotic abilities are showcased, including a familiar charge attack that fans of past entries will instantly recognize. The best part, though, is obviously when the player-controlled Krogan ground pounds an enemy off the screen. Brilliant.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out March 21 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the year. An entirely new galaxy to explore, along with a fresh cast and mysterious new enemies to contend with is, in my view, the right way to go after Mass Effect 3. Commander Shepard’s done his part, now let’s see what other monstrosities await in deep space besides squid-shaped robots.
