Latest Pokemon Go Update Fixes Bugs And Cracks Down On Third-Party Maps

A recent patch released for both the iOS and Android versions of Pokemon Go seems to have put a complete halt to any form of third-party or community support for the hugely-successful mobile game. A previous update made to the augmented reality title over the weekend completely removed the footprint system (which is supposed to show players how close Pokemon are to the player character) after it stopped functioning properly, breaking popular hunting website PokeVision in the process.

According to VideoGamer, former fans are already demanding refunds from Niantic due to the changes, but as of now, it’s not entirely clear whether the developer has made the drastic changes intentionally, or whether they simply intend to improve the Steps system before reintroducing it.
