According to a leaked listing from South African retailer Ruru, a BioShock Collection is slated for release on November 27 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Various outlets have reached out to 2K Games for confirmation either way concerning the bundle’s existence, but the publisher have declined to ‘comment on rumors.’
If true, the collection would likely feature both BioShock 1 & 2, as well as BioShock Infinite. As has become the custom with such re-releases, don’t be surprised to see the bundle come packaged with all previous DLC for all three games if rumor becomes reality.
Although 2K Games are reluctant to comment on the leak, there’s a precedent for such a collection to be real. Borderlands and Borderlands 2 – both published by 2K – were recently given a spit and polish before being re-released on both current-gen consoles.
We wouldn’t say no to a remaster of the BioShock series, either – especially the first game that started it all. The original is now over eight years old and holds a rather lofty reputation as being one of the best video games ever made.
We’ll update this post if and when 2K make an official comment on whether the leak is accurate, so stay tuned!
