Quick! What do you call a Souls game that isn’t Dark Souls or Demon’s Souls? The answer seems to be Project Beast.

A twenty second video clip leaked out late this evening on 4chan, before making its way onto NeoGaf, showing what appears to be a clip from Project Beast, which is no doubt destined for E3. From Software has been hard at work on on the game, but has been fairly tight lipped on what it actually is so far. However, that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from assuming that Demon’s Souls 2 is in the works as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

I’ve lost years of my life to the Souls franchise, and everything here seems like it was ripped right out of one of the games. The brief view of combat and the massive tentacle monster fit the aesthetics perfectly, and if that’s not a fog door at the thirteen second mark, I’ll be damned.

While this isn’t even remotely close to confirming anything, it’s enough for me to start running around my apartment yelling Demon’s Souls 2 while my corgi nips at my heels wondering what caused this sudden onset of dementia.

Hopefully we’ll get some more answers at E3 in two weeks.
