Here’s What The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Looks Like In Unreal Engine 4

Ever wondered what The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time would look like with some next-gen polish? Well, it would probably look something like the mod you can see above, which was painstakingly created by YouTube user CryZENx. The graphical overhaul has only been applied to the game's famous Temple Of Time as of now - presumably due to how long the process takes - but, unlike past attempts to recreate the game using the Unreal Engine, this version is actually playable.

Besides the coding work, for which credit belongs entirely to CryZENx, the author has credited Nintendo for all of the game’s original assets. If you’re a long-time fan of the series, don’t miss out – the mod looks absolutely gorgeous. No doubt news of the video will reach the ears of a Nintendo employee, so one can only hope that the Big N see the demand for a next-gen remake of Ocarina and actually commit to making one themselves!

Clearly though, gamers are getting a little anxious with having to wait for this year’s (hopefully) brand new Legend Of Zelda Wii U, which has suffered from numerous delays and push-backs. Many have started to suspect that the upcoming sequel has been canned for the Wii U, and instead moved over to Nintendo’s still-enigmatic NX console, but we’ll just have to wait and see what the true purpose of the delays are. Stay tuned.
