Yesterday, Marvel quietly uploaded its first trailer for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers to its YouTube page. Coming in at just over one minute in length, the block-filled teaser is full of destruction, as New York is under siege, otherworldly forces plan to take over and innocent people are being hurt. You know the story.
Outside of moments where airship combat is seemingly teased, things are pretty routine here. Evildoers appear, buildings crumble and the Avengers swoop in to save the day. It’s very reminiscent of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, which is both a good and bad thing. Good, because that was a solid outing, but bad because we don’t want TT Games to rest on its laurels any more than it already has.
Expect to be able to play LEGO Marvel’s Avengers sometime this winter.
