Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the upcoming third entry in the Final Fantasy XIII sub-series from Square Enix, is currently set for a February 11th, 2014 release on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. As is the case with many big-name titles, Square Enix is offering a little bonus for fans willing to put down some cash early and pre-order the game. In this case, it’s a bonus that will be very nostalgic for longtime fans of Final Fantasy.

The bonus will enable protagonist Lightning to dress up in the familiar outfit of Cloud Strife, the iconic lead from the PS1 classic Final Fantasy VII. Besides that, players will unlock Cloud’s Buster Sword for use in combat, the Soldier’s Band accessory, and even the ability for Lightning to display Cloud’s victory pose after a battle, complete with music.

A promotional trailer for the pre-order bonus can be viewed below. We will keep you updated on more news regarding Lightning Returns as it develops. In the meantime, feel free to post your thoughts (or even your FFVII memories) in the comments section below.
