Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros have released a new trailer — titled “Soul of a Man” — for the upcoming open world Mad Max game, giving fans a second look at the 2014 title.

Unfortunately, the majority of the self-proclaimed “gameplay trailer” is made up of what appears to be cut scenes, so don’t go into this expecting to see more than a few seconds of slow motion fighting/driving non-cinematic footage.

Despite, the gameplay trailer’s lack of gameplay, it is still worth checking out. The new cut scene footage shows off a lot more of Mad Max‘s world than the “I’ll run you over because I don’t want to waste a shotgun shell” E3 trailer that debuted the game back in June. Additionally, there is an appropriately depressing narrative and song that sets the right tone for a post-apoplectic game.

Mad Max is currently scheduled for a split-generation launch sometime in 2014 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Check out the “gameplay” trailer and screenshots below, and make sure to drop us a line in the comments with your opinion on the upcoming title.
