Set during one of the most turbulent periods in American history, Mafia 3 centers around biracial Vietnam veteran Lincoln Clay. After serving his time in the force, Clay returns to the city of New Bordeaux and joins up with a black crime organization. After his mob is slaughtered by the Italian mob, though, Clay goes into business himself in order to bring down those that tried to eliminate him.

Scored to the tune of “Bottom of the River” by Delta Rae, the E3 trailer shows how Lincoln survived his attack and how far he will go in order to gain vengeance. The clip features several memorable moments, including the appearance of the KKK, a gruesome torture sequence and gallons of blood being shed.

Expect 2K Games to unveil more information on Mafia 3 over the next few days.
