With the controversial ending taken care of, the time is now for talking about the future of Mass Effect 3. Believe it or not, there’s actually some single player DLC in the works. What a concept, right?!

Producer Mike Gamble left a few tweets yesterday teasingly asking if “now would be a good time” to talk about future DLC. He quickly added that he’ll have more to talk about in the future, which shouldn’t be a surprising turn of events for anyone that knows the gaming industry.

It would seem a few people on BioWare’s forums weren’t patient enough to wait for an announcement. They did some digging in the Extended Cut DLC and found a handful of lines that reference a rogue Reaper named Leviathan. Which could be the first bit of DLC we’re to expect. It’s all very interesting stuff.

Does that mean a future DLC could have you controlling a Reaper? Possibly. But that’d be awfully weird, considering the context of the ending of the game.

Am I the only one not compelled at all to play any DLC for Mass Effect 3? Perhaps because it’s the end. Doesn’t seem like much point. Maybe my mind will change when more is revealed.
